My work is found and formed at the intersection of what I see and how I feel.

My paintings are where the natural world around me meets the intuitive world within me. Thanks to the gift of synesthesia, my work captures my personal sensory experience, as colours visually represent sound and vice versa. My work brings a whimsical and dreamy perspective to landscapes that offers a way to capture fantasy in the modern world. Each painting is a song from my inner world.

Visually and viscerally I explore the expression of two worlds at once, marrying contrast with sensitivity to create harmony within the frame.

Throughout my work, the metallic tones act as a light source to elevate the natural world into the ethereal. My choice to use metal leaf began as an homage to my love of renaissance history. As I worked with it more and more, it became an important tool to connect with and capture the ethereal nature of light. The study of nature has become a meditative process for me to bring my inner world into outer form. Each painting becomes a window into my personal dreamscape but it also brings the viewer literally into my world as they gaze upon their own image mirrored back to them in the gilded landscape.
